Pioneers Investors – GITEX Technology Week is an annual consumer computer and electronics trade show, exhibition, and conference in Dubai, United Arab Emirates at the Dubai World Trade Centre. Its exhibitions in the Middle East have attracted numerous participants, most notably in 2009 when Microsoft released Windows 7 with 150,019 people present.

The GITEX Shopper & Consumer Electronics Expo attracts ICT retailers and suppliers such as Gateway Group, 50 Cent, Etisalat, RedHat, and Dell. The consumer participants include IT professionals, technology enthusiasts, students and consumers as well as regional traders.

The show was launched in 1981 as GITE and occupied Hall One of the Dubai World Trade Centre. With the launch of MacWorld at the 1988 show, GITEX (the X had been added by now) expanded to two halls of the exhibition Centre. For some years it has now filled the entire DWTC complex, currently consisting of 10 exhibition halls comprising a million feet of exhibition space. GITEX Shopper 2009 had 150,019 visitors representing 121 nationalities

At this year GITEX Technology Week as the largest regional IT exhibition will play a more significant role. As well as defining the latest trends, presenting high caliber speakers & showcasing product innovations from across the world, this year, GITEX is bringing together the most innovative, exciting & ambitious tech startups to showcase their world-changing ideas to an audience of hand-picked international investors.

Activities presented during the week of the exhibition focus on developments in the field of technology including 5G technologies, artificial intelligence and inter-analysis, cyber security, cloud computing, edge computing, digital economies, the future of mobility and blockchain.

While the Dubai World Trade Center puts the health and safety of visitors at the top of its priorities, the event will be held in accordance with the strict precautionary and preventive measures in place by the Dubai Government and recommended by the competent authorities, including the Dubai Health Authority and Dubai Municipality.

It is noteworthy that GITEX Technology Week will take place from 17 to 21 October 2021 at the Dubai World Trade Centre.
