An Agreement to Support Omani Startups
The Public Institution for Industrial Estates in the Sultanate of Oman "Madayn" has signed an agreement with the National University of Science and Technology.
The Public Institution for Industrial Estates in the Sultanate of Oman “Madayn” has signed an agreement with the National University of Science and Technology (NU).
According to this agreement, “Madayn” and the university will encourage start-ups, incubate student projects at the university, provide technical and administrative training for emerging companies and entrepreneurship, and protect intellectual property services, in addition to developing technical studies, feasibility studies, transfer of knowledge and indigenization in the Sultanate.
The agreement also aims to support Oman’s position as a leading regional center in the fields of manufacturing, innovation, entrepreneurship and excellence in business initiatives, attracting industrial investments and developing advanced infrastructure towards achieving added local value, in addition to establishing additional steps towards Realizing the vision of “Oman 2040”, diversifying its economy, working towards sustainability based on knowledge and innovation, and supporting research and development, entrepreneurship and training.
